Victor (Eric Braeden) is still playing all sides when he comes to the Abbotts. He has Michael (Christian LeBlanc) working on a new plan to bring down Jack (Peter Bergman), and he went to Jack to admit defeat — when we all know there is no way that he plans on losing at anything, ever.

Now that Claire (Hayley Erin) and Kyle (Michael Mealor) are involved, however, that could throw a wrench in Victor’s plans. On Thursday, Victor tests Claire’s loyalty. Will she pass the test? How will Claire feel if Victor wants her to break up with Kyle? Would she choose Newman — or Chancellor — over her potential relationship with Kyle?

Family matters

Along with Billy (Jason Thompson), Lily’s (Christel Khalil) dreams of running Chancellor were diminished. Not only was she screwed over by Victor and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and helped them take the company away, but they knew all along she would never sit back in the CEO chair. On top of it, she has Victor acting like a puppet master, trying to get Devon (Bryton James) to convince her to go where Victor thinks is her place: at Winters.

Lily has fought that idea for months, but she needs to do something with her career. Going to Winters now feels like defeat. It makes it look like she failed, and she has to come home to the family business to be saved. It’s a big pill to swallow for her pride, but also, she and Devon butt heads working together.

On Thursday, Lily makes a tough decision. Will she decide to go back to Winters? Or will another opportunity present itself?

Status quo

Audra (Zuleyka Silver) hasn’t gotten off on the right foot with a lot of people. Nate (Sean Dominic) has stuck by her though, and has seen her more vulnerable side. Audra is getting desperate to be working again, and the stress about it is making her realize she might need to ask for help when it’s the last thing she wants to do.

Personally and professionally, Nate is supportive of Audra. He would like her to work with him at Winters, but Devon can’t stand her. At Devon’s wedding, Lily was offended when Audra dissed marriage. Everyone wonders how someone like Audra, who is fiercely independent and can be self-serving and even untrustworthy, could be committed to Nate.

On Thursday, Audra makes a promise to Nate. But is it a promise she’s able to keep?
