What to expect on The Young and the Restless

When Victor (Eric Braeden) surprised Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and everyone in Genoa City that he had secretly rebuilt the original ranch house, they moved in immediately. But after Sharon (Sharon Case) had burned down the original, Victor had another main house built for them to live in. Now, that home is sitting empty, but Victor offered it to Adam (Mark Grossman), who said he would move in after the new year. Being Victor, he also determined Adam’s roommate and invited Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) to move in as well.

When Adam approached Chelsea about the same idea, she gave him the answer that Victor got: hard no. But on Monday, Chelsea receives a surprise invitation. Will it change her mind? And are there any strings attached?

Is Summer warming up?

Summer (Allison Lanier) has had some mixed emotions about Claire (Hayley Eric) and Kyle’s (Michael Mealor) relationship. She didn’t seem to have an interest in her ex until she realized he and Claire were getting closer. Claire has tried talking to Summer about it in the past, but she always claims she has no problem with their relationship. Her actions and sarcasm say otherwise.

Kyle thought that Claire was just feeling insecure that someone else could have a motherly-like role in Harrison’s (Redding Munsell) life, but sometimes Summer just acts jealous. Which is it?

On Monday, Kyle and Claire reveal their relationship to Harrison as they intend to be spending more time together. If they’re a couple, that means his parents aren’t getting back together. How will Harrison feel about that — and will Summer, once again, interfere to keep herself feel like she’s in control? Summer stands her ground — but with who?

The man of mystery

Before Nate (Sean Dominic) went to meet Damian (Nathan Owens), he knew that there was a bit of mystery swirling around his half-brother. According to the private investigator that he hired, Damian changed jobs and residences every couple of months. But after some digging, he realized that the property management companies of the apartments Damian lived in, and the companies where Damian worked all had the same parent company.

It’s a mystery that Nate wanted to solve. On Monday, Nate realizes that Damian kept a secret from him. Nate has already invited him to work for Winters, which would require Damian’s next move to be to Genoa City. Does Nate regret his invitation?
