What to expect on The Young and the Restless

Finding Ian (Ray Wise) in her living room has Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) more than on edge. Now, with Sharon (Sharon Case) missing as well, Nikki is extra worried about what Ian could possibly want. He’s done so much damage in the past, including shooting Victor, and Nikki doesn’t want to even come close to losing someone she cares about because of Ian Ward ever again.

Nikki knows how Ian operates and the slick charms that he uses to infiltrate. Like Victor (Eric Braeden), she will protect her family at all costs. On Friday, Nikki is staunch and adamant at Chancellor. For Claire’s (Hayley Erin) safety, she is determined to be vigilant, so Nikki lets Claire know all about Ian’s history.

Realizing that Ian is solely focused on his plan to get back Mariah (Camryn Grimes), Jordan (Colleen Zenk) defied him and kept Sharon alive instead of sending her into the river to die. But now that she has her “insurance policy,” how is she going to use it?

On Friday, Jordan goes rogue. But with all eyes on the motel room and Ian, can she really get out the door without being seen? Ian was released from jail, but Jordan is supposed to still be locked up. Back in disguise, Jordan seeks her own answers, but does she slip up? Old habits die hard.

Meanwhile, Ian pays Tessa a visit but Abby knows who he is much better than her manager. Will Ian be able to charm either of them — or both?

Family matters

At the Abbott mansion, Kyle (Michael Mealor) is having breakfast when Jack (Peter Bergman) and Diane (Susan Walters) question him. Kyle decides to come clean. Can an honest conversation happen with his parents that will finally put their fears to rest and allow them to move on as a family?

On Friday, Kyle has his own secrets to reveal, and the air is cleared. Will this be the fresh start the Abbotts needed?
