What to expect on The Young and the Restless

As much as Daniel (Michael Graziadei) wants to reactivate his career, he’s been dubious about having Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) be the catalyst. Daniel doesn’t trust Billy on any level, personal or professional.

Daniel knew that Billy was willing to let Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) risk it all to join him in on his revenge plot against Victor (Eric Braeden) and Adam (Mark Grossman). If it failed, Phyllis would have lost everything, and Billy knew that but was okay with setting her up for failure.

Billy’s history with Phyllis runs deep. While they had some business success together, they also crashed and burned at the office and in the bedroom. The last thing Daniel wants is to be part of that kind of explosion again, and he doesn’t want it for Phyllis, either.

Now, Daniel has suggested to Phyllis many times that the two of them could do their own thing, but she’s insisting on being part of Billy’s vision. Daniel needs to be convinced to get on board. On Fridays, Daniel is suspicious of Phyllis’ alliance with Billy. Is she telling Daniel what he wants to hear to champion for Billy? And why is she so determined to be in Billy’s world. Does Phyllis still have feelings for her ex?

Who’s Holden the cards

Nate got the shock of his life when he called Amy (Valarie Pettiford) downstairs to ambush Damian (Jermaine Rivers), only for her to shakily ask who the man in the room was. Finding out the man he’d been dealing with for weeks wasn’t his half-brother is a mind-blower, to say the least.

Holden (Nathan Owens) has some fast-thinking explaining to do. Will he tell them the truth? Or will Nate think something has happened to Damian? Holden might have to call in the real deal to make it all make sense.

A walk down memory lane

On Friday, Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) gives Sally (Courtney Hope) a history lesson, but it’s not one that might enjoy hearing. Chloe had her own relationship with Billy, and they tragically lost their daughter.

Billy’s ties to Adam — and his wounds — run deep. Billy may have turned a new leaf now, but if anyone can shed a light on some of his past, it’s Chloe.
