After realizing they wanted to make a go of their relationship, Nate (Sean Dominic) and Audra (Zuleyka Silver) knew they had some work to do. Mostly brought on by Audra’s own doing, Nate’s cousins, Devon (Bryton James) and Lily (Christel Khalil) were not fans of Audra or her relationship with Nate.

Audra told Nate that since he matters to her, she wanted to win over the people that mattered to him. On Friday, Nate asks Devon, Abby (Melissa Ordway), and Lily to meet with him and Audra — and to give his girlfriend a second chance.

Lily just told Devon that she would return to the family company and work with him and Nate. With a new year coming, Devon’s new marriage, Lily’s new job, and Nate’s new-at-committment relationship with Audra, the Winters agree to go into the new year on a new foot.

The new Winters family toasts to a new beginning for them, but little do they know they’re about to get a new member.

Not a serious relationship, not revenge

Billy (Jason Thompson) and Sally (Courtney Hope) were getting to know one another and enjoying each other’s company, and then they went and slept together. Since then, the momentum died. Billy keeps saying that it wasn’t revenge sex, but seemed to have lost interest right after he was satisfied that Adam (Mark Grossman) knew what happened between them.

Meanwhile, Sally agreed that she had enough work to focus on and that she didn’t need to be distracted by a relationship. However, she had been liking hanging out with Billy, even though she was afraid of being vulnerable after being so hurt by Adam and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan).

On Friday, Sally evaluates her feelings for Billy. Has she lost interest in him? Or does she want to see where things could go? Maybe, despite her claims otherwise, she had hoped for a little revenge being seen with him, but now that the dust has settled on that, was there more than friendship there?

Keep your friends closer

Ever since Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) woke up from her coma, she’s been mind-blown that he best friend is defending the woman she believed was trying to kill her.

Now that Phyllis admitted to Lauren (Tracey E. Bregman) that she isn’t 100% sure that it was Sharon (Sharon Case) who ran her off the road, Michael (Christian LeBlanc) wants to use that to help Sharon’s case. Even if it’s true, Michael didn’t know that Sharon was innocent of trying to kill Phyllis when he took her on as a client, and that is the bit that hurts Phyllis.

On Friday, Phyllis’s and Michael’s friendship is tested. Will it survive?
