Romance with The Young and the Restless stars isn't limited to the characters on-screen. The actors who bring your favorites to life are falling in love off-camera, too — with their dogs!

We think it's safe to say that Y&R actors are, for the most part, dog people. Social media posts have popped up featuring your Genoa City favorites with their beloved pups, and we just had to share.

In the above photo on the left, we see two dogs, and the dark-haired one appears to be "Georgie," the new dog belonging to Allison Lanier (Summer), as does the white dog in the middle. The actress ran an Instagram story of her holding her new dog with the caption: "Officially my baby...Georgie...Thank you @pupcultureresuce!!"

The golden labrador on the right, Tyson, belongs to Lauralee Bell (Christine), who has shared some pictures over the years of Tyson and her other beloved golden labs.

In the cover photo, the dogs left to right are Lanier's pup Georgie, the dog in the middle is TK, and the pooch on the right is Miss Stevie Nicks, who belongs to Courtney Hope (Sally Spectra).

We don't see many dogs on-screen on The Young and the Restless. Rare exceptions were Zapato and Segundo who belonged to Victor. Poor Zapato went to doggy heaven. Segundo (which means "second") was Victor's next dog. Fortunately, some trained dogs can help detect epileptic seizures. Victor was diagnosed with epilepsy and leaned on "man's best friend" for aid.

Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) was more of a cat person — not a live cat, mind you, but she had a stuffed cat named "Miss Kitty." When Patty needed to talk about her latest schemes out loud, she often talked to her cat as if Miss Kitty could understand exactly what she was saying!

Former Aunt Jordan of The Young and the Restless, Colleen Zenk (ex-Jordan), has a love of dogs, too. She's shared photos of her pup, a Maltese/Shih Tzu, who is named "Boo."

"'Boo' and I out trying to walk off all the deliciousness after a day of [the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and National Dog Show] watching!" Zenk posted last November. Terri Garber, who played catalyst Iris Dumbrowski, on As the World Turns, the soap on which Zenk appeared for decades as Barbara Ryan, responded to her pal's post, "Adorable."
