Here are The Young and the Restless spoilers for Wednesday, January 5, 2025.
What to expect on The Young and the Restless
Daniel (Michael Graziadei) was less than impressed with Billy (Jason Thompson) and his latest pitch at a business venture with him and Phyllis (Michelle Stafford). Daniel wasn’t shy about voicing his concerns, including how starting a media company looked like he was just going after Victor and Adam, just displaying it in a different way.

On Wednesday, Daniel meets with his sister and tells Summer (Allison Lanier) his concerns. Meanwhile, Phyllis shares the same thoughts she is having with Billy. Can Billy convince her that his career is a positive move?
Jack isn’t so sure, either. He told Billy that he believed in him and would be willing to finance his next business venture, but now that Billy has an idea, will he still be on board or will Billy be reminded how no one ever has faith in him? On Wednesday, Jack gives his brother some unsolicited advice. Will it be well-received or is too personal?
Meanwhile at the ranch
Adam (Mark Grossman) is happy to show Connor (Judah Mackey) his new home. Are Connor and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) still on board for the move? And will Chelsea be able to keep Adam at bay? Connor may have some feelings about his parents cohabitating to co-parent.
At the main house, the Newmans are still reeling from their dangerous encounter with Ian Ward (Ray Wise). The realization that Victor (Eric Braeden) was almost lost that night affected everyone differently. While Nick (Joshua Morrow) was more pragmatic and was able to put his emotions in check to dwell on what didn’t happen rather than what could have been disastrous, Adam took a look at what life would have been like without his father in it.
Victor showed a lot of bravery that night, not even considering the danger he put himself in by jumping between the gun and his family. But he did get shot, and that would have changed everyone’s life drastically if he had been killed. On Wednesday, Victor is reflective and shares his feelings with Victoria (Amelia Heinle). Maybe this is a new chapter for the Newmans, with Victor less focused on getting revenge on the Abbotts. Victoria would sure appreciate that, as she doesn’t want Claire’s (Hayley Erin) relationship with Kyle (Michael Mealor) to be affected by the previous generations of contempt.
Diane (Susan Walters) and Victoria share the same concerns. On Wednesday, Diane makes a big decision. Is it about Kyle and Claire? Or will it have something to do with Billy coming by?
