Lauren (Tracey Bregman) has been scared for her husband, Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc). He has been too involved for her liking with Victor’s (Eric Braeden) plots and maneuvers, that usually exceed the boundaries of the law. As Victor’s attorney, Michael has been walking a fine line with legal matters, but he recently had his own life on the line when he was at the ranch when Ian Ward (Ray Wise) pulled a gun on the Newmans.

Now, Michael is involved even more than Lauren knows with Victor’s revenge plot with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman). Lauren is worried that this time, Michael won’t come out of it unscathed, and what it will do to their long-term friendships. She’s also concerned (as are others) about Aristotle Dumas and how being involved with him through Victor will affect her and Michael. This week, Lauren expresses her concerns, but an agitated Michael tries to tell her that he’s doing everything he can for the best possible outcome. But whatever Lauren has found out about, she knows that Michael is in the danger zone. She warns Michael, “When Victor finds out, it’s going to bite you in the ass.”

Lack of (Abbott) Communications

Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) has become nearly solely focused on helping Daniel (Michael Graziadei) get back on track, and to do that, she has been convinced that he needs to be working with her and Billy (Jason Thompson) at Abbott Communications. Billy, meanwhile, has been worried that Phyllis’ inability to take no for an answer and respect Daniel’s boundaries is a red flag that she’s in no condition to be taking on the responsibilities to start the new company with him.

With Sally (Courtney Hope) in his ear to cut the cord with Phyllis, Billy is getting short-tempered with Phyllis. She says she is all in, but does he want her to be?

Cause for alarm?

Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) has been spending time with Daniel, teaching him to play the guitar and finding a way for him to release all of his feelings of grief so he can move on with his life. Next week, Tessa is surprised when her wife, Mariah (Camryn Grimes) shows up at Crimson Lights, very distraught. Tessa hugs her and sees how upset she is. “Mariah, is everything okay?” she asks ,but will Mariah tell her what is going on?
