Now that Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Faith (Reylynn Caster) have told Victor (Eric Braeden)that Ian Ward (Ray Wise) is back in town, Victor wastes no time to get that situation under control. He told Nick that he would find Ian and ask him some questions.

Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) had been sleeping when Nick and Faith arrived, but by the time she woke up, she had wondered what she had missed. Nikki comes downstairs and says she heard voices — but stops in her tracks when she sees Ian Ward in her living room.

On Monday, Victor gives Ian Ward an ultimatum. Will he comply?

Waking to another nightmare

Jordan (Colleen Zenk) used chloroform on Sharon (Sharon Case) and dragged her away. The next time we saw her, she was in a motel room, sleeping bound and gagged on the bed.

Her last stint in a motel room was full of troubles, and we’re not even sure how much of them were real. When she wakes up, will Sharon think she’s hallucinating again or has done something awful? Or will she know she’s in danger?

Jordan is supposed to kill Sharon but needs to frame Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) for it. With Victor hot on Ian’s trail and people beginning to suspect Sharon is actually missing, keeping her in the motel room is probably not the best long-term plan.

On Monday, Sharon has a rude awakening. This isn’t the new year she had been anticipating, but as Jordan tells her, she should consider herself lucky that she’s not at the bottom of a river — yet.

Timing is everything

Cole (J. Eddie Peck) had recently acknowledged that he managed to be married to Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and have a long relationship with her without ever being involved in the family business. Now, however, he was taken aback over the holidays when not only did Victor give Cole and Victoria his blessing to be together, but he accepted into the family. Because of that, he was offered something else — a position at Newman Enterprises.

After all of the warnings Victoria and Cole gave to Claire (Hayley Erin) about being in the corporate world, Cole has to decide whether or not it’s a step he wants to make as well. He knows mixing business and pleasure never works out, and having Victor as his boss was never a dream job for him. On Monday, Victoria helps Cole with a tough decision. Will he accept Victor’s offer to head up the publishing department?
