On The Young and the Restless, Daniel Romalotti has had a very rough year. He lost his job, he lost the love of his life, and now he’s just…lost. But this week, he gets some insight into what he can do to get his groove back.
Daniel Romalotti on The Young and the Restless

Last year on The Young and the Restless, when Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom) was murdered, Daniel Romalotti’s (Michael Graziadei) whole world fell apart. Since then, he has been trying to find a way to get back on any path at all, but he’s been lost instead. His mom, Phyllis (Michelle Stafford), has been trying desperately to find him a new career path to help give Daniel something else to focus on than his heartache, and to help him move on.
Although Phyllis was able to secure a spot for Daniel at Billy’s (Jason Thompson) new company, Abbott Communications, Daniel was never all-in. It wasn’t the motivator that they had hoped it would be, and it’s just made everything worse. Daniel needs a way to process his grief and release it to move forward, and nothing and no one seemed to be able to help. Until, that is, he shared his thoughts and feelings with Tessa (Cait Fairbanks).
Michael Graziadei can sing

The Young and the Restless fans will remember that Cait Fairbanks showed her vocal chops when she first joined the show. Tessa performed outside of Crimson Lights and onstage at The Underground, and she was hired by Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) to teach her grandson, Reed (Tristan Lake Leabu), to play guitar. We might see more of Fairbanks’ musical talents this week, as she and Daniel collaborate on the patio of Crimson Lights with their guitars.
As for Michael Graziadei, he may not have highlighted his voice (yet) on Y&R, but he’s certainly graced audiences with his singing in other productions. On The Client List with Jennifer Love Hewitt, he played and sang backup in the band as she belted out Bonnie Raitt’s “Something to Talk About.”
As his character is the son of international rock star Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian), it’s a natural fit that Danny's son would have some of his musical influences. Maybe Lucy (Lily Brooks O’Briant) will also be able to channel her grief through song through another tie-in: Daniel sent her daughter on tour with his dad last year while he was being framed, but in real life, O’Briant’s singing career has taken off.
It seems Daniel will be able to channel his creative talents and his grief through music, with Tessa’s help. Fans have noticed the chemistry between the two, but is it a possible romantic energy, or will they remain in the friend zone?
