The Young and the Restless has been recognized again this award season. It was announced that the writing team of the show will has been nominated for the 2025 Writers Guild Awards.
Writing Team of The Young and the Restless Nominated
The Writers Guild of America West (WGAW) and Writers Guild of America East (WGAE) have announced nominations for outstanding achievement in screenwriting, television, streaming, news, radio/audio, and promotional writing during 2024.
For the Daytime Drama category of Television, Streaming, and News, the writing team nominees are head writer Amanda L. Beall and writers Susan Banks, Jeff Beldner, Marin Gazzaniga, Lindsay Harrison, Marla Kanelos, Rebecca McCarty, Madeleine Phillips, Dave Ryan (CBS/Paramount+)

The writing teams from Days of Our Lives and General Hospital also received nominations in the category. Y&R's sister show, CBS’s hit serial The Bold and the Beautiful, was not overlooked; the show did not submit for the WGA Awards this year.
The Writers Guild Awards honor outstanding writing in film, television, streaming, news (broadcast and digital), radio/audio, and promotional categories. The 2025 Writers Guild Awards (77th Annual) will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles and the Edison Ballroom in New York City.
Other nominations for upcoming awards
The Young and the Restless was also nominated for The Make-Up Artists & Hair Stylists (MUAHS) Guild Awards. For the category of Best Make-Up for a Daytime Television, Game Show, or Talk Show, the nominees from The Young and the Restless make-up team are Stacey Browning, James Elle, Robert Bolger, Riley Nightingall, and Amanda Goldstein.
For the Best Hair Styling category, both The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful shows were nominated. The Y&R team includes Lauren Mendoza, Justin Jackson, Michelle Corona, and Diana Santana. For B&B, the nominees are Stephanie Paugh, Danielle Dubinsky, Karlye Buff, and Alexis Reyes.
The 12th annual Make-Up Artists & Hair Stylists (MUAHS) Guild Awards will be celebrated in February 2025.
Art Directors Guild Reveals 2025 Career Honorees

The Art Directors Guild also recently announced their honorees for the 2025 Hall of Fame. Scenic artist Lisa Frazza, who worked for 16 years on The Bold and the Beautiful, will receive Lifetime Achievement Award recognition through the Scenic, Title, and Graphic Artists Council. Her award will be presented during the ADG Awards ceremony by Production Designer Jack Forrestel at ADG’s 29th annual Excellence in Production Design Awards on February 15, 2025, at the InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown.
