On The Young and the Restless, Courtney Hope plays Sally Spectra, easily recognizable by her smoldering red hair. She decided to try a new color for fun, and we have to say it looks great and very much in the festive spirit or at least quite…Christmas-esque.

Courtney shared via her Instagram page that this holiday season is her favorite time of the year, and she shows us why in true Courtney Hope style.

The reel shared the amazing transformation Courtney goes through at the expert hands of her bff, Stacey Browning. Stacey is a very talented SFX/Makeup artist and one of an incredible team who work on The Young and the Restless. The reel shows Courtney transform before us into… the Grinch! And not one to shy away from having a little fun, Courtney stays in character, proceeding to scare a little kid and then takes her Grinching to the next level by stealing a Christmas tree ornament and the very presents beneath the tree.

Courtney captioned the video, “It’s because I’m GREEN isn’t it 💚🎄😐

🎁 My favorite time of year 🙃 Merry Grinchmas everyone 🫶🏼🎅🏽

Friend and artist Stacey Browning replied: “To this day my favorite thing we ever did. You’re the best grinch, love you!!

Also, via Instagram, Courtney shared that The Young and the Restless had wrapped up filming for 2024 and noted that fans wanted more Y&R BTS (behind the scenes) content next year. In the post, Courtney sat reflectively on set, and she captioned:

❤️ Work with your friends

❤️ Vibe with your friends

❤️ Play pretend with your friends

❤️ Cry with your friends

❤️ Dream with your friends

❤️ Scream at your friends..? … No? .. okay maybe that’s just us over here on Stage 43…

Courtney also acknowledged to fans that they had been heard by stating, "More YR BTS content - noted! More next year 🥰

To her co-stars, Courtney concluded, "🥂 Cheers to a wonderful roller coaster year in Genoa City 🤩"

Cast members of the show added their thoughts on Courtney's year-end post and what a year it has been. Tracey Bregman, who plays Lauren on Y&R, said, “Love you girl! Can’t wait to see you this morning.” Another fan fave, Jason Thompson, (whose character, Billy Abbott, is currently dating Courtney’s Sally Spectra character), said, “You’re a gem! What a year.”

Looking this good ain’t easy

On another note, the very talented Stacey Browning and the Y&R makeup department are thrilled to see that their hard work is paying off. Nominations have been announced for the 12th Annual Make-Up Artists & Hair Stylists (MUAHS) Guild Awards, which will be celebrated in February 2025. Gotta love acronyms, especially clever ones like that.

On The Young and the Restless team are Stacey Browning, James Elle, Robert Bolger, Riley Nightingall, and Amanda Goldstein. The team is nominated in the category of Best Make-Up for a Daytime Television, Game Show, or Talk Show.

Courtney definitely lives up to her comments about working, vibing, and playing with your friends, and we can't wait to see what Y&R and Sally Spectra have in store for us as we close out 2024 and eagerly await their return in 2025.

You can watch full episodes of The Young and the Restless on weekdays on CBS or stream through Paramount Plus.
