On The Young and the Restless, Sally Spectra epitomizes health and beauty, and her real-life counterpart, Courtney Hope, is no different. Courtney knows the toll that looking and feeling good can take on people and the effects that body image can have. Through her studies, she has achieved a psychology degree and a Nutrition and Healthy Living degree from Cornell University, as well as certifications in personal training and Pilates.
Courtney Hope on The Young and the Restless
One of the many things Courtney is involved in outside of giving us the funny, talented, and independent Sally Spectra on the CBS show The Young and the Restless is her work for The Breaking The Chains Foundation (BTCF), an organization “committed to the prevention of body-focused and mental well-being stigmas.”

BTCF recently posted some beautiful words about Courtney when they tagged her on Instagram while sharing wonderful news: Courtney Hope is the new BTCF Board Vice President.
BTCF captioned the post, “Courtney has been with BTCF for almost 6 years. Her passion, advocacy, creativity, integrity, intelligence, kindness, support, and leadership are truly remarkable, inspiring, and highly valued!”
Courtney replied to the post with, “I couldn’t be more excited and honored 😍! This foundation means so much to me, and I can’t wait to get to integrate myself deeper and to expand our mission further❤️🙏🏼”
Friends quickly said they were proud of her, including Karla Mosely of the highly anticipated new CBS show Beyond the Gates, who said “YES!!!! They are so lucky. Congratulations”
With the amazing work that BTCF does, it's great to know that talented, driven people are in the right places to help it deliver its mission to as many people as possible. 2025 should be a great year for BTCF, with Courtney Hope as VP.
BTS fun at The Young and the Restless
Showing her fun side, Courtney shared a reel on Instagram featuring herself, Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea,) Hayley Erin (Claire), and Elizabeth Hendrickson (Chloe). What appears to be the co-stars reading their scripts together rapidly turns into the four breaking into dance, replicating a scene from the musical movie, “Wicked.”
At the end of the reel, Elizabeth pushes Melissa into Hayley, and they both tumble to the ground laughing as the music finishes. Perfect timing and a great way to take a moment from the busy schedule of daily filming.
Filming may have wrapped for Courtney for the year, but we have plenty to look forward to from this talented Y&R star (and Sally Spectra) in 2025.
