Jai Rodriguez may be best known for his work as the culture expert on Bravo’s Emmy Award-winning hit reality show, Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, but he’s about to be seen in Genoa City.

Rodriguez took to Instagram to make the announcement. He stated, “Oh hey 👋🏽. Guess who’s heading to Genoa City? Me 🤩. Thrilled to join the cast of @youngandrestlesscbs for a few episodes as “Pietro”, party planner to the stars. It’s been really fun working on this iconic show and it's very welcoming cast. Can’t wait for y’all to get into this hilarious role.”

Rodriguez thanked his ‘team,’ Gersh Agency and Innovative Artists. Greg Salmon, Casting Director of CBS, also announced, “We are so excited to welcome @jairodriguez to Genoa City!” According to US Weekly, Pietro (Rodriguez) has been hired by the Newmans to plan a birthday party for Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott). Rodriguez’s four-episode run will begin airing on May 28th.

At first thought, we wondered what type of party Pietro was there to plan, and the guesses rolled in with possible weddings: Chelsea and Adam? Nick and Sharon? Or even an identity-reveal and Traci and Alan got their dream wedding after all? It could all still happen, but in the meantime, at least we'll have some fun episodes with Pietro in town, and of course, a birthday party for the Newman matriarch to look forward to. Hopefully there won't be any unwanted guests showing up.

Rodriguez has had previous soap experience, appearing on All My Children back in 1993 and Days of our Lives in 2012.

He also hit the big screen, starring in the feature film Bros as Jason, along with Billy Eichner and Luke Macfarlane.
