On The Young and the Restless, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) has been busy, plotting revenge against Victor (Eric Braeden) and getting caught up in family drama. Off camera, actor Jason Thompson is just as busy. He recently took to Instagram to show a video of him having fun with his friends and business partners.
Jason is one of the co-founders of Rancho West Beer, a USDA-certified organic beer and one of only 40 such beer companies in the U.S.
Jason Thompson on The Young and the Restless
On Instagram, Jason Thompson (Billy Abbott, Y&R) and @Ranchowestbeer posted, “Life can be busy — sometimes even hectic. It can be tough to carve out any “extra” time for our passions. Yet, these moments spent with friends, laughing and eating dust, enrich our lives in every way.”

One of Jason's friends, Greg Robinson, was behind the lens, capturing their moments and making them into memories. Jason and his pals loaded trucks with their dirt bikes and headed to Joshua Tree National Park, visiting a new charging outpost owned by Rivian.
The bikes cruised the roads along the stunning backdrop and then got dusty as the friends carved a path offroad. Having it all caught on a drone makes for some awesome viewing. The sun was low on the horizon, capturing beautiful colors, and it looked like everyone was having a blast. The friends gathered around and opened cold cans of Rancho West Beer. One could be forgiven if you thought you were watching a great beer commercial.
Surfs up and beers down
With souls and thirsts recharged, the friends visit the Palm Springs Surf Club. The massive wave pool, with its azure blue waters and impeccably designed breaks, is a surfer's dream, and the friends wasted no time getting wet and wild. The obviously competent surfers pulled tricks and bailed out more than a few times with many laughs, all caught in stunning high definition. Was it just for the replay value, or is this another beer commercial, Jason?
The Rancho West Beer mission statement reads: ”On a mission to shift the cultural change towards a better for you beer that’s better for the planet and have a damn good time doing it.” For those still not sure what the difference between organic and non-organic beer is, it simply means that the soil is free of toxic pesticides and synthetic fertilizers. The soil has been chemical-free for at least 3 years, and there are no GMOs (genetically modified organisms).
Everything about that video looked like Jason and his friends were having a "damn good time." We could all take a moment to think about how we need to balance our busy lives and ensure we recharge our batteries. As we head into the holiday season, what better time to mix friends, fun, food, and our favorite soap as we catch up on all the drama headed Billy’s way on The Young and the Restless?
