On The Young and the Restless, viewers hear Nick mention his son Christian quite often, but where is he — and is he coming back?
Christian Newman on The Young and the Restless

In 2015, Christian Andrew Newman was born prematurely in Chancellor Park. When Christian was conceived, his mom, Sage Newman, wasn’t sure if his father was Adam (Mark Grossman) or Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow).
A lot happened, but ultimately, Sage (Kelly Suullivan) had died and Adam was gone by the time Nick found out through a DNA test that Christian was Adam’s biological child and not his. But as the only father Christian ever knew, Nick continued to raise the son he considered his own.
In 2019, Adam returned to town and attempted to sue Nick for custody of Christian. But in a twist of character, Adam decided that Christian was better off with Nick, and it wasn’t fair to rip them apart. Nick retained legal custody of Christian and has to this day.
Where is Christian Newman?

Viewers haven’t actually seen Christian in years, he is mentioned often. He was played by twins Jamie and Alister Tobias as a newborn, then Jude and Ozzy McGuigan took the role. Last seen, he was played by Alex Wilson, and was about six years old.
Nick began mentioning his son on a more regular basis last fall when he noted on Thanksgiving that Christian was in the barn playing in the mud with his other cousins.
More recently, Nick said he was taking Christian on the family trip with Sharon and Faith to see Noah in London. While it’s very likely that we will see Christian in the near future, it would be no surprise to any fan of The Young and the Restless if he were another victim of SORAS (Soap Opera Rapid Aging Syndrome). Nick himself was a member of that club, being a child when last seen, then returning from boarding school in his late teens in a blink.
To have Christian return in his late teens would be an interesting twist. Although raised and influenced by Nick’s kind spirit, with Adam’s biology, he could also be more devious. And we don’t know how much of his past he’s aware of: Does Christian know that Connor (Judeh Mackey) is his half-brother, not his cousin, or that Noah (Robert Adamson) is his cousin, not his half-brother? Does he feel an inexplicable connection to Adam and want to be like him? Having Christian return to the screen could answer some questions, create new storylines, and definitely turn up the drama.
