Traci (Beth Maitland) was thrilled when Alan (Christopher Cousins) told her that he wanted to marry her in front of Jack (Peter Bergman) and Diane (Susan Walters). But her joy soon turned to suspicion when Alan overreacted to Traci seeing his phone messages about a security breach at a facility.

Next week, Traci meets up with her brother at Crimson Lights, and she is distressed. Jack asks her what is wrong and is startled to hear there is already trouble in paradise so quickly into her engagement. Tearfully, Traci tells Jack that what has her upset is Alan. “I am not sure he is who he says he is!” she cries.

When Lily (Christel Khalil) came to Victor, asking for help to use his resources, he was intrigued. Lily didn’t give details of Damian (Jermaine Rivers) being related to Nate (Sean Dominic), but she said he was a possible hire at Winters and wanted more information on him. Victor used the excuse that if this Damian fellow was going to be in Lily and Devon’s lives, then he needed to protect them and wanted to dig up even more dirt than necessary if he could.

Enter Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc), his trusty lawyer, to do the job. Michael spent some time finding out what he could about Damian and his mysterious employer, Aristotle Dumas, with Victor not saying much about his findings. So imagine Michael’s surprise next week when he meets with Victor at the Athletic Club, only to have Victor make a comment that doesn’t add up. “That makes it sound like you and Dumas have a history I don’t know about,” Michael says, surprised. “We do,” Victor admits.

Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) has suffered a lot in the last six months, with the loss of Heather (Vail Bloom), Daniel (Michael Graziadei) being framed, and losing her job. She managed to channel all of her feelings into hating Sharon (Sharon Case), but now that she and Sharon were kidnapped and put their past to rest, she is full of emotions, and they’re all coming out.

Phyllis is used to carrying her heart on her sleeve, but she’s been trying to stifle her feelings around her kids. In front of Billy (Jason Thompson) though, she can’t. Billy wants to help but isn’t sure what to do. Next week on The Young and the Restless, Phyllis talks to Billy in the park and once again, she’s struggling. Through tears, she tells Billy how she thinks he can help.
