Fans of The Young and the Restless know Melissa Claire Egan as Chelsea Lawson, but she also starred in a holiday movie called Holiday for Heroes. The Y&R actress is looking forward to meeting fans from both at an upcoming Christmas Con convention.
In the movie, Egan plays Audrey Brown, whose brother is serving in Afghanistan. Audrey sends her brother a bag of home-roasted coffee for Christmas, but it ends up being given to Sergeant Matt Evans (Marc Blucas). Matt writes Audrey a thank you letter, and the two begin corresponding for a year until their worlds collide back in the U.S.

Christmas Con is a holiday-centric convention where fans of Christmas movies and rom-coms can meet actors, get autographs, and get their photos taken.
The annual event will be held at the New Jersey Expo Center in Edison, New Jersey, from December 13th to 15th. In addition to meeting the stars, additional activities will include a tree lighting, games, panels, carols, a holiday market with vendors, artists, treats, authors, and, of course, Santa Claus. There will also be giveaways and special merch to commemorate the event’s fifth year.
Egan is joined by other stars, such as General Hospital star Cameron Mathison, who plays Drew Quartermaine. Long-time soap fans will also remember him as All My Children’s Ryan Lavery. Mathison has teamed up with Candace Cameron Bure to star in two Great American Family holiday movies: Jingle Bells, Wedding Bells, and Home Sweet Christmas.
Soaps alum Jen Lilley (ex-Theresa Donovan, DAYS, and ex-Maxie Jones, GH) is also scheduled to participate at Christmas Con. Lilley is starring in A Paris Christmas Waltz on Netflix, a film directed and produced by Michael Damian (Danny Romalotti, Y&R).
Corbin Bernsen, who has had a returning role on The Young and the Restless as Father Todd, the brother of Paul Williams, will also attend. Off-screen, fans affectionately know Bernsen as the son of the late actress Jeanne Cooper, Y&R’s legendary Katherine Chancellor.
Along with headliner Lacey Chabert, fans will also be able to meet actors Catherine Bell, James Denton, Jodie Sweetin, Chad Michael Murray, Danica McKellar, Jessica Lowndes, Michael Rady, and B.J. Britt, among others. Tickets for the event can be ordered online.
