On The Young and the Restless, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) might not appear as a domestic goddess, but off-screen, Michelle Stafford is confident in her cooking skills — so much so that she entered the annual Y&R Bake Off at work.

“Winner Winner Chicken Dinner 🏆🏆🏆 #YRBAKEOFF,” she captioned the post. In the video, Stafford explained that she was thinking like a winner and getting ready to bring a pie and homemade ice cream to work for the 2nd Annual Y&R Bake Off.
Stafford admitted she put too much salt in the pie, but when she went downstairs and took a bite, she was pleased with the result. “That’s the pie of a winner. Even though I screwed it up, it’s still good,” Stafford said.
At the work competition, Stafford filmed herself as she walked through the room, asking various people if they were judging. She pointed out her homemade desserts on the table and noted how impressive it looked. “Matty! Are you judging?” she asked publicist Matt Kane, who asked if she was trying to curry favor. Kane told her he was not one of the judges. “Meh,” Stafford jokingly muttered as she moved on.
Elizabeth Hendrickson (Chloe Mitchell) and Courtney Hope (Sally Spectra) arrived; Stafford approached and welcomed them but quickly asked if they were there to be judging. “I’m judging people right now. I’m silently judging them,” Hendrickson joked as Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea Lawson) waved to the camera from behind them.
Also in attendance was Michael Graziadei, who plays Phyllis’ son, Daniel Romalotti, on the show. “I’m sitting next to Michael,” Stafford said as she showed actor Christian LeBlanc in the seat next to her. LeBlanc portrays Phyllis’ best friend, Michael Baldwin, and he entered the competition with a pot of jambalaya. “It’s all gone!” Stafford noted.
LeBlanc told his friend that her homemade ice cream was amazing. “It’s not even hard to make,” Stafford said before catching herself, forgetting it’s a competition. “I shouldn’t say that,” she added quickly. LeBlanc turned to the camera and insisted helpfully, “It’s difficult to make. She churned all night!”
Stafford and LeBlanc joked as the winners were being called and Stafford eagerly enjoyed the suspense. “Stay calm,” LeBlanc whispered. Redding Munsell, who plays Y&R’s Harrison Abbott, was able to be the announcer. LeBlanc and Stafford listened carefully for who the lucky contender was, and sure enough, Stafford’s ice cream and apple pie got the top vote.
This was so much fun!! Congratulations @therealstafford !! I was honored to be this year’s announcer! 🙌❤️🔥- Redding Munsell (Harrison Abbott, Y&R)
Stafford excitedly jumped up and walked to the front of the room, filming herself acknowledging the accolades along the way. She dramatically accepted the top prize as if she were at an awards show and grinned from ear to ear.
