Flynn joined the cast of DAYS as one of Stefano's many long-lost offspring more than a decade ago and quickly became one-half of a popular couple when Flynn was paired with Kate Mansi's Abigail Deveraux. Flynn had to work with rotating Abigails over the years as Mansi and Marci Miller flitted in and out of the role.

"I am grateful for my years at DAYS; it changed my life in the best ways,” Flynn told TV Insider. "I’ve always said these stories we tell are like doing a play, and I’ve spent the last 10-plus years playing this amazing character and telling one of the all-time great love stories. And now I’m excited for this opportunity and to test myself in a new way."

During Flynn's stint as Chad, the actor garnered three Daytime Emmy nods in the Outstanding Lead Actor category. He also starred on the DAYS web soap, Chad and Abby in Paris.

Currently, Chad is getting to know Cat Greene, the woman who impersonated the late Abigail, making Chad believe his beloved wife was still alive. Chad is trying to fight his attraction to Cat, but it won't be easy. With DAYS taping about eight months in advance, we still expect to see Chad in Salem for a while longer.

At Y&R, Flynn will be working with Josh Griffith, the soap's executive producer and head writer who also wrote for DAYS when Chad and Abby were falling in love and preparing to marry.

"On behalf of the entire company of The Young and the Restless, we look forward to welcoming Billy to the show," Griffith told TV Insider. "He will be a wonderful addition to Y&R’s stellar cast."

There is no word yet on who Flynn will bring to the Genoa City scene or who his character will be connected to. Soap Central will keep you informed as we learn more.
