Has Y&R's Nate found his brother Damian? DAYS alum Nathan Owens joins the cast of The Young and the Restless

On The Young and the Restless, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) has hired a private investigator to find his half-brother, Damian. Until now, who would be playing the role of the newcomer to Genoa City had not been announced.

Deadline reported today that former Days of our Lives star Nathan Owens has joined the Y&R cast. As yet, the exact role that he will play has not been confirmed, but it is likely he is the new character, Damian.

Who is Nathan Owens on The Young and the Restless

Prior to joining Y&R, Nathan Owens was on Days of our Lives from 2012 to 2013 as Cameron Davis. He was romantically involved with Abigail Devereraux. Fans might remember that Cameron was a male stripper at night to help pay the bills.

A former model, Owens also appeared in the OWN movie A Season to Remember. He has the lead role in the upcoming film, A Mother’s Love. The former model also has previous credits which include Devious Maids, Batwoman, and 911: Lone Star.

Fans of The Young and the Restless will first get to see Owens on the show on the episode that airs Wednesday, January 8, 2025.

Nate’s half-brother Damian on The Young and the Restless

Fans have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of Damian in Genoa City. His story began when Amy Lewis (Valarie Pettiford) contacted Nate Hastings with an ominous message about needing to talk to him. Nate visited her, and she shared memories of his father, Nathan Hastings, Sr., with whom she had worked and dated four decades ago.

But Amy showed up on Nate’s doorstep later to reveal why she had actually contacted him: Amy was dying and needed to contact her son, Damian. She wanted Nate’s help and explained that she had a secret that no one ever knew. Damian was the biological son of Nathan, making him Nate’s half-brother. She feared that Damian would be all alone in the world when she died, and she wanted him to know that he had family.

After careful consideration and proof with a DNA test that Damian was indeed Nate’s half-brother, Nate agreed to help. He hired a private investigator, who will be making an appearance soon. The role of P.I. Denise Tolliver is being reprised by Telma Hopkins, who is set to link Nate to Damian soon. If Owens does indeed turn out to be Y&R’s Damian, we should be seeing Denise any day now.
