Damian's forced reveal on The Young and the Restless

On The Young and the Restless, Nate got the real Damian Kane to come forward, but he is not happy about being pulled from the shadows by a lie.

On The Young and the Restless, Damian (Jermaine Rivers) has been using a man named Holden (Nathan Owens) as his stand-in to deal with people in his stead. We haven't been told precisely the reason for this, but one would surmise that there are people he would instead remain hidden from. There is more than meets the eye when it comes to Damian Kane. Damian used Holden to meet with Nate (Sean Dominic) and find out why he was being sought out.

Nate met with someone he thought was Damian — but was Holden. Both were suspicious of each other but for different reasons. Nate couldn't understand what was wrong but felt something was off. Holden was suspicious as Nate came with a job offer, and there seemed to be no way that Nate should have been able to locate Damian to make the offer. And more, there was nothing in Damian’s resume to suggest he would be a good fit for Winters.

Jermaine Rivers, who plays the real Damian, posted to his Instagram, “Damian is finally out of the shadows, and things are about to get real on The Young and the Restless.”

3gmtalent (3G Management), the talent agency representing Jermaine, responded, “We can’t wait to tune in!”

Damian isn't as receptive as they hoped

When Amy (Valarie Pettiford) asked Nate to track down Damian, who is Nate’s half-brother and her son, they wondered how Damian would react to being found and how he would respond to having his mom wanting to make contact again for the reasons she has. On Monday, February 10th, Damian is more than annoyed and less than grateful for being forced out of the shadows. He says to Amy, “So you’re sick, and this guy [pointing at Nate] comes up with this big lie to take advantage of you?” Amy responds with, “I’m the one who found Nate.” When Nate chimes in with, “I was just as suspicious as you are, bro,” Damian looks at Nate with anger all over his face and says, “Don't, don't, don't call me that!”

Damian doesn't want to start playing happy family quite yet. As Jermaine said, things are about to get real — and we can’t wait to see it.
