The Young and the Restless is gearing up to celebrate Christmas and New Year’s Eve. Aside from the holiday spirit sprinkling its magic over Crimson Lights, the jazz club, and Society, the families of Genoa City will be gathering for their feasts and festivities soon.
Although some family members may be noticeably absent, others may have overcome their dramas to enjoy the most wonderful time of the year together.

It was recently announced that iconic costume designer, Mandi Line, joined The Young and the Restless. Her fashions could be seen beginning mid-November, and, as cast member Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea Lawson) demonstrated on an Instagram story, her outfits are a hit. Egan showed off a new pair of pants that were trimmed down the legs with studs that her Y&R character, Chelsea, got to wear in an upcoming scene and thanked Line for the new wardrobe item.
Line’s fashions can also be seen in newly-released photos of the upcoming Christmas and New Year’s Eve episodes on the show.
With the Abbotts at odds, there is a chance that Kyle (Michael Mealor) will find forgiveness for Diane (Susan Walters), and they can reunite into the family they all hope they can be. Starting the New Year off with his new girlfriend and a sense of peace where his mom is concerned is probably just what Kyle needs. As for Billy (Jason Thompson), he’s not expected at the dinner table unless Jack (Peter Bergman) can make things right with his brother.
The Newmans will gather for their first Christmas feast in the newly rebuilt ranch house, but will Sharon (Sharon Case) be at the table? And the Romalottis have an extra-hard holiday as it’s their first without Heather (Vail Bloom).
While we don’t know yet what exactly will go down on New Year’s Eve, expect the celebrations to take a turn for some of our favorite Genoa City residents with Ian Ward (Ray Wise) and Jordan Howard (Colleen Zenk) in town.
