Fans of The Young and the Restless aren’t finding it too funny that their favorite show has been pre-empted for CBS Sports coverage of March Madness. But now might be a great time to remind viewers of the promos that Michelle Stafford (Phyllis Summers) and Joshua Morrow (Nick Newman) have done for the network game coverages in the past.

Embrace Your Inner March on The Young and the Restless

In this skit for the NCAA Tournament a few years ago, Phyllis tracked down Nick at Society, demanding to know why she was putting up with his absence every night and if he was there with his “friend.” Phyllis tells Nick she doesn’t know if she likes who he is becoming — and Nick dramatically wonders if this is who he has always been. Outside the window, The Blob looks on lovingly at Nick.

“This is why I love Phick,” commented jeanniecribley2362. Fan reginayfavors said, “Y'all are so silly. Too funny. Nick was trying to keep from laughing.” Karenleonard8679 wondered how they filmed the scene without laughing, noting that Stafford and Morrow were great actors.

The Young and the Restless on Super Sunday

Stafford and Morrow did three promos for football’s Super Bowl together last year. In one, the pair were equally upset after being asked to leave a friend’s dinner party. Nick explained through gritted teeth that he picked a fight with his 87-year-old host because he said the Eagles were frauds, causing Phyllis to throw a drink at him before walking out.

“Bravo they've done it again,” commented anthonys___n8022. Grantmobile8777 applauded, “Soap acting at it's best. Joshua Morrow and Michelle Stafford.”

Nick’s Wildest Fantasy

In another skit, Nick’s fantasy football team becomes a nightmare. He tells Phyllis that he got an update, and it’s the worst-case scenario. In full soapy drama, Nick can barely bring himself to speak as he choked back that he can’t make a trade and his roster is depleted.

Frankbonini9128 commented, “This IS Pretty FREAKING Clever!!! BRAVO!” Fan gmsoftball2009 added, “That was absolutely BRILLIANT and hilarious! Make a trade, for what, my kicker???”

Nick comes clean

Nick came into the Grand Phoenix Hotel with a confession for Phyllis. When he tells her that he lied about having Lehi over Duke in 2012, it’s too much, and she hilariously kicks him out and tells him to get out of her life.
