Kym Douglas, who was married to the late Jerry Douglas (John Abbott, The Young and the Restless), has gotten remarried. The happy bride shared the news of her marriage to Tim Robertson, son of the late Pat Robertson, founder of The 700 Club, on social media.
Second Act
The TV personality (Douglas appeared regularly on Ellen) announced her engagement last month on social media. She says she initially hesitated to share her happy news because of the tragic fires that were wiping out parts of southern California at the beginning of the year.
"In the wake of such sorrow, I’ve come to understand that God, through our trials and grief, WILL restore and renew," Douglas wrote. "So perhaps this is the perfect time for a story about finding Love After Loss and never losing hope. After experiencing the profound loss of our beloved spouses, Tim and I never expected our paths to cross, mutual friends introduced us and God had a beautiful plan. We found healing, joy, and love in each other. Tim said it best: 'God’s grace never ceases to amaze me.'"
Many of Douglas's good pals, including Lauralee Bell (Christine) and Michelle Stafford (Phyllis), weighed in with supportive comments.
Hunter-ing for New Nieces and Nephews
Douglas and Tim recently married, and she is posting wedding photos to show how happy she is. Hunter Douglas, Kym's son, has gained a whole slew of new young relatives. Check him out surrounded by all the new little ones in his life. "This is what it’s really all about… FAITH, Family and LOVE!" Douglas wrote. "Uncle Hunter is a hit with his favorite little peeps."
Something to Talk About
Douglas has also taken on a new professional role. She and pals Tracey Bregman (Lauren Fenmore, Y&R), Dyan Cannon (Heaven Can Wait), and Christine Avanti Fischer have started a new podcast, God's Table.
Douglas and Robertson wed at the Bel-Heir Church. Cristina Ferrare was the maid of honor. Robertson's son Tim served as best man. "The best day ever. Married Mr.Robertson… gained these precious angels," Douglas posted on Instagram along with a photo of her new husband and his (now their) grandchildren.
In 2023, Douglas appeared on Y&R in a special episode that honored the late Jerry Douglas. She played Traci's editor, Zelda Wilford. While Zelda's connection to the Abbotts was Traci, this was a way for Douglas to share some on-screen love and fondness for her late husband.
