Sharon Collins' life has taken quite a turn on The Young and the Restless. The popular heroine went from starting a new company when the year began to seeing visions of Cameron Kirsten, her longtime stalker and the man she killed in self-defense last year.

Sharon's slow descent on The Young and the Restless

Sharon began acting erratically months ago but chalked the struggles up to new bipolar medication. She thought her body needed time to adjust. When the adjustment didn't happen quickly enough, Sharon took herself off her meds altogether. That act just made things worse, as her bipolar disorder went untreated.

By then, Sharon was already imagining kissing Nick and hallucinating their late daughter, Cassie. Sharon's situation became increasingly worse when the ghost of Cameron became her new constant companion. Now, Cameron is always close by—or at least in Sharon's head.

The past revisited

Sharon already got a scare in 2021 when Faith drove drunk and was in a car accident. However, Faith's latest car accident hit way too close to home for Sharon and reminded her of what happened to Cassie all those years ago.

In 2006, a teenage Cassie got behind the wheel—without a license—to keep Daniel Romalotti from driving drunk. This past week, Daniel's teenage daughter, Lucy, got drunk in the park, and Faith came to her rescue. When Lucy got sick in the car, Faith took her eyes off the road for a split second to reach for a towel—and crashed.

While Faith and Lucy will both be okay, Sharon feels like her own life is spinning out of control. Cameron's presence is becoming more frequent as he tells Sharon that she knows where this has all been leading and what she needs to do.

Sharon already lashed out at Daniel in the hospital, and it looks like she might start listening to whatever Cameron tells her to do. When Cassie was killed, Daniel was a teenage boy, but now he is a grown man with his own teen who put Sharon's youngest daughter in danger. At Cameron's prodding, will Sharon finally enact revenge nearly 20 years after Cassie's death and try to kill Daniel? If so, that would certainly bring this long-ago story full circle. Could such an act eventually lead to Sharon and Nick's long-awaited reunion? Stay tuned to find out.
