Hot or not? Do we want to see Claire and Holden together on The Young and the Restless?

On The Young and the Restless, Claire and Kyle don’t really appear to have the spark, the energy, or as the French say, je nai sais quoi. But when Holden met Claire, was that a connection?

A new Young and the Restless pair?

Kyle (Michael Mealor) is a well-liked character, and there is definitely a weird triangle going on with him, Summer (Alison Lanier), and Claire (Hayley Erin), but are they really a couple that you can believe in? Will they last the distance, or will Damian's (Jermaine Rivers) sidekick Holden (Nathan Owens) be able to lure her away from Kyle?

Claire looked a little giddy when she met Holden, and I can't have been alone in wondering if Kyle noticed that too. I am here to ask whether you would like to see more of Claire and Holden. This would give Kyle time to spend with Summer and their son Harrison (Redding Munsel) and maybe reconnect. Fans of our favorite sudser visited Soap Central and its associated message boards to make their feelings known.

A Holden & Claire Chemistry Test

Soap Central reader silkdog said, “Yes, I kind of like them together, Claire needs some excitement in her love life, lol."

Reader Good Kitty was in agreement, saying, "He made Kyle look like a flustered schoolboy when Claire aka Little Sheila Carter acknowledged him."

"Hot, hot, hot! Since Kyle is not, not not......simple choice," Rubythroat commented.

Perky7kc noticed something different about these scenes, saying, "Claire seemed very different with Holden, not as innocent, could she have multi-personality disorder?"

Omnicience replied to Perky7kc with, “Nah, I don’t think so. She’s been maturing more day by day and I loved her innocence about the alcohol and Holden referencing the books. It seemed more like Claire was learning how to flirt, and Holden was there to teach her lol.”

Lulubell also liked what they saw. "I have to admit the dialogue with Holden and Claire was really fun and edgy. If I hear one more conversation with Kyle & Claire about Harrison I'm going to kick my TV in. It's all he and Summer can yap about.”

There we have it, soap fans. So far, there isn't much support for a Kyle and Claire relationship on The Young and the Restless among the comments, so maybe we will see something different — something with some zing and personality — and see these two characters shine.
