At the Genoa City Athletic Club, Summer asked Kyle why he was so insistent about working with Audra. Kyle accused Summer of being so worried about Harrison that she unnecessarily dumped all her fear and anger onto Audra. Summer told Kyle that she didn’t trust Audra any more than he did. She wanted to know the truth about the arrangement between Victor, Audra, and Kyle.

Summer asked Kyle if he was somehow being forced to stay in his partnership, as everyone who had ever dealt with Audra had warned Summer about her—except Kyle. Summer told Kyle that if he wanted to find common ground, she needed to know what was really going on.

Audra complained to Nate that she was in yet another family feud at work, but she said she would not walk away from Glissade. Nate warned Audra that Victor would use Glissade as a battle ground, and he worried that Audra would become collateral damage. Audra told Nate she wouldn’t be that easy to dislodge, even if Kyle suffered because of it. Audra invited Nate to her room, but he had a proposal to work on. He told her to stop wasting time trying to outwit Victor, as there were other companies to work for without the baggage.

Kyle told Summer he didn’t trust Audra but planned to run Glissade one day. He shared that he would outwork, take advantage of, and play hardball with Audra before she did the same to him. Kyle assured Summer that one day, she would know the whole story and approve, but in the meantime, he didn’t want to go to court with her over Harrison.

Kyle apologized to Summer for the hurtful things that he'd said, and he assured her that he didn’t want to push her out of Harrison’s life. When Kyle asked Summer to get rid of their lawyers and figure it out on their own, Summer hesitated. She thought that his secrets about Audra were a big red flag. Summer then told Kyle that if he confided in her, it would help build trust.

Audra interrupted Summer and Audra's conversation, so Summer left. Kyle and Audra agreed to stay out of each other’s personal lives but to share their business information and be effective partners.

Billy was frazzled when he arrived at the office. When Lily asked if he had revised the press release, Billy angrily told her he wanted to know her real agenda. Lily and Billy argued about their partnership. As Chance watched from the doorway, Lily said that Billy was the one who had retracted his commitment, while Billy accused Lily of planning to kick him to the curb all along.

At the Athletic Club, Victor and Nikki discussed how sick Jill might be. Victor noted that it wasn’t life-threatening but that Jill was sick enough to hand the reins to Billy. Nikki hoped Victor wasn’t planning on exploiting Jill’s illness to take over the company, but Victor said the situation was fortuitous.

Victor explained to Nikki that it was Jill’s choice to let her "idiot son" run the company, and if that caused a takeover, "so be it." Nikki figured out that she had been replaced at Newman Media so that Adam could do Victor’s dirty work. She wondered what would happen if Billy called Adam’s bluff to publish that Jill was sick. Victor said Billy was getting what he deserved, so Nikki reminded him that Billy was the father of Victor’s grandchildren. Victor didn’t care, and he said that once Billy limped back to Jabot, Chancelor would be theirs.

Victor told Nikki about the part of the plan that involved her and Lily. Nikki said she could not see Lily going along with Victor’s plan. Victor said he was confident, and he told Nikki to keep her eyes on the prize, as it was something she wanted very much.

At Crimson Lights, Lily talked to Nate. She wasn’t pleased that Devon had divulged her plan about ousting Billy to Nate, but Nate told her he was confident in her abilities to succeed. Nate told Lily that Billy didn’t deserve to have control of Chancellor and that she should be running it on her own. Lily appreciated Nate’s opinion and encouragement. She said that she needed to stay on the inside until she could push Billy out, but the problem was that he knew her plan. Nate added that another problem was that Jill had given Billy all of her voting power.

Billy complained to Chance that Lily was trying to drive him out of the company, but he didn’t have any proof when Chance asked for it. Billy said it was time to let Lily go, and he called her to meet with him. When Billy left to see Lily, Summer walked in. Chance told Summer that Billy had left to prove that every negative thing people said about him was true.

Chance divulged to Summer that Billy wanted to push Lily out of the company and that Chance had told Billy that he was being shortsighted and impulsive. Summer wondered if Billy would force Chance out, too. Chance wasn’t sure where he fit in but didn’t think it was an issue, as his money was on Lily winning the battle.

Lily went to the Athletic Club to meet Billy, but Victor intercepted her. He got Lily to sit with Nikki while Victor went to Billy and asked to speak to him privately.

The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS.
