At Society, the conversation hasn't lightened up with Claire, Kyle, Victor, and Nikki. Claire asks again what Victor's stance on their relationship is, and he doubles down by saying that he is not interested in giving Kyle a fair chance. Victor told Claire there would be trouble with the Abbotts, and when they imploded again, he didn’t want her in the middle of it. Kyle and Nikki knew that meant Victor was going to be causing more chaos. Jack and Diane came in as Victor left, and they all agreed they were tired of the war but knew Victor wasn’t satisfied that Jack hadn’t paid enough for the night he and Nikki had in the hotel. Kyle and Claire agreed they wouldn’t let it affect their relationship. Claire asked Nikki to talk to Victor, but they all knew it wouldn’t do any good.

Daniel’s concerns

Daniel tried having dinner with Summer at Society but she was fixated on watching Kyle. He got her to prove she wasn’t obsessed or jealous of Kyle and Claire by getting a table at the Athletic Club instead. Daniel told Summer that he’d been trying to reach their mom for a while, but she wasn’t picking up. Summer assumed Phyllis was just putting her focus on the new company. Daniel noted he couldn’t get Phyllis to stop calling and texting until he accepted her and Billy’s job offer, and now he couldn’t get her to respond. Summer got upset when Daniel asked about Chance and said she wasn’t over how he treated her family when Heather died. Daniel told her he thought Chance was just doing his job. When he mentioned her feelings for Kyle again, she stormed out without dinner.

The loyal henchman

Michael and Lauren had gone to the Jazz club. Lauren knew something was weighing on Michael's mind and asked about it. Lauren asked Michael to tell her everything, and Michael said he would tell her the same thing he told Chance. Lauren noted that Michael had undoubtedly crossed the legal line. To end the conversation, Michael said he did what was needed but slept well at night with his decisions. They left to get a hotel room and not talk about it anymore. Not long after getting there, Victor called Michael to direct him to get as much info about Jabot's future plans as soon as possible.
