3 BIG Young and the Restless takeaways for Tuesday, February 18th

On Tuesday, February 18, 2025 episode of The Young and the Restless, Victor planted spies at Jabot; Society is the place to be, and Victor will never approve of Kyle and Claire.

The Young and the Restless highlights

Victor met with Michael at the ranch house. Although Victor blamed Michael for making Victor release Jordan from his basement cell last year, he was at least grateful that he stuck around to see him get shot by Ian. Victor was ready to move on to another round of revenge against Jack. Michael told Victor that he had recruited three spies, and they were ready to go, “Glissade was the perfect Trojan horse to get them into Jabot without raising suspicion,” said Michael. Trying to be the voice of reason, Micheal attempted to dissuade Victor from his plan, but Victor wouldn’t hear of it and told him that if he didn’t like the plan, he could show himself the door. Victor yelled that it would be he and he alone that stated when the Abbotts had had enough punishment, and then he brought up the infamous “night of hotel room debauchery” again.

Society, where it all happens

Kyle ran into Summer at Society while she was waiting for Daniel. They talked about the night that they helped Harrison with his school project. Kyle told Summer the reason for being there was that he was there to meet with Claire, Nikki, and Victor. Kyle said he didn't think he and Claire needed to worry about getting approval from Victor. Summer noted that Victor had approved of their marriage and that she was also his granddaughter. Kyle said he didn't care; it wouldn't change anything between him and Claire. He then left to get seated for what would undoubtedly be an interesting dinner. Daniel joined Summer at her table, asking her what was wrong as her face showed disappointment. They talked about Kyle's dinner plans, and it sounded to Daniel that Summer might be a little jealous. She assured him she was not and that it was an effort in futility to get Victor's approval. Daniel tried to keep her in check by telling her she was giving off mad Phyllis vibes.

Victor stands firm

At the fun table, Victor stated very clearly that he would never approve of Kyle and Claire's relationship because of his utter contempt for Kyle's family. Claire complained that Victor’s point of view wasn't fair. Kyle reminded Victor how he had used him in his plan to get to his dad. Kyle said despite everything Victor had done, he could put it all aside and would never hold that against Claire. Kyle told Victor that he cared very deeply for Claire, and it was reciprocated. Kyle said they would proceed with their relationship and asked Victor if there was anything that could be done to help him change his mind. Victor gritted his teeth and said there was nothing that would help Kyle achieve that goal.
