Michael Graziadei popped the question to his longtime girlfriend in a very unexpected way -- live during an appearance on a television talk show.
As soap fans, we tend to have a special place in our hearts for how our favorite soap couples fell in love.
Sometimes, real-life proposals are even more magical than the scripted ones.
That was the case on Tuesday's episode of The Talk. The Young and the Restless' Michael Graziadei (Daniel Romalotti) surprised his girlfriend, the mother of his two children, Lauren Carey, by asking her to marry him.

"This is my beautiful girlfriend, Lauren," Graziadei said as he called Lauren up to the stage. We've spent the better half of ten years together -- she's given me beautiful twins, and I just wanted to do something special for your birthday. So, I was thinking, you know, how there is no one on this earth that I would rather grow old and die with. So, I was wondering -- will you marry me?"
A stunned but clearly elated Lauren said yes.
When The Talk co-host Akbar Gbajabiamila asked Lauren if she'd had any idea that the proposal was coming, she confessed, "I mean it's been ten years, so I figured it was never going to happen."
In addition to the hosts of The Talk, the proposal was also witnessed by Graziadei's Y&R castmates Christel Khalil (Lily Winters), Bryton James (Devon Hamilton), and Camryn Grimes (Mariah Copeland).
