The holiday movie season is upon us once again, and just in time for Thanksgiving, Netflix will be serving up a new romantic drama called The Noel Diary. The film features daytime alum Justin Hartley as a novelist who sets off on a personal journey about his past that may also lead to romance along the way.
Daytime alum Justin Hartley (ex-Adam Newman, The Young and the Restless; ex-Fox Crane, Passions) will star in an upcoming romantic drama on Netflix called The Noel Diary. He plays a best-selling novelist named Jake Turner who returns to his hometown to settle the estate of his estranged mother after finding out she recently passed away. Along the way, he meets a woman named Rachel (Barrett Doss), who is trying to search for her birth mother. They learn that Rachel's mother once worked as a nanny for Jake's family. After finding a diary that belonged to Rachel's mother, Jake and Rachel use it to help them uncover the mystery of their pasts. On their way to discover their own individual truths, romantic sparks begin to fly between them.

The Noel Diary, based on the best-selling novel by Richard Paul Evans, is set to be released on Netflix on November 24. The film's cast also includes Essence Atkins, James Remar, and Bonnie Badelia.
Hartley made his daytime debut in 2002 as Fox Crane on the NBC soap Passions. In 2014, he took over the role of Adam Newman on CBS' The Young and the Restless. He received an Outstanding Lead Actor Daytime Emmy nomination in 2016. He went on to star on the critically acclaimed NBC drama This Is Us, where he played Kevin Pearson from 2016 to 2022. His other television credits include Revenge, Smallville, Mistresess, and Aquaman.
