"Thank you so much for making the last 40 years possible!" enthuses The Young and the Restless' Eileen Davidson, who is celebrating four decades in the role of Ashley Abbott.
The Young and the Restless is pulling out the red carpet for two special actresses: Eileen Davidson and Beth Maitland, each of whom is marking 40 years in their roles as Ashley Abbott and Traci Abbott, respectively.
Y&R is honoring each actress with fun lookback videos commemorating their time spent in Genoa City. The first focuses on Davidson and was dropped on her anniversary, which took place on Saturday, June 11.
"I can't believe it's been 40 years since I first stepped on the Y&R set," Davidson enthuses in the one-minute clip (below) that features flashbacks of classic Ashley moments. "I have so many wonderful memories of my Young and Restless family -- which includes you [the fans]. Thank you so much for making the last 40 years possible. I'm so incredibly grateful."

Y&R will also be releasing a similar video honoring Maitland, who celebrates her anniversary on Wednesday, June 15, so be sure to check back to Soap Central to watch that flashback video when it drops!
In addition to the fun lookback videos, Y&R will be airing an Abbott sister special on Friday, June 17, that will see Traci and Ashley reminisce about their lives, loves, and losses. The soap released a teaser trailer of the special episode (below), and Soap Central will be speaking with Maitland for additional details about the episode, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for that later this week!
As fans may recall, Y&R threw an on-set anniversary party for Maitland and Davidson back in May. "Somebody had an amazing, overwhelming, absolutely unmatchable day...OKAY IT WAS ME!!!! 40 YEARS!!!!" Maitland shared on Instagram after the party.
The actress also posted a behind-the-scenes photo of the cast that was present for the celebration, sharing, "Still on a euphoria hangover! I don't have enough years left to thank you all!"
Davidson also took to social media after the Y&R bash, sharing, "Such a special day celebrating Ashley and Traci Abbott's 40th birthdays! Thank you Y&R and the amazing cast and crew!"
