Daytime Emmy-winning actress Christel Khalil (Lily Winters, The Young and the Restless) said yes to Sam Restagno, whom she calls "the love of my life."
Congratulations are in order for The Young and the Restless' Christel Khalil (Lily Winters), who shares that she is officially a fiance!
The actress took to Instagram with the news that she is engaged to her longtime beau, Sam Restagno, and she also shared some beautiful couple's photos, one of which shows off her sparkling ring.
"A couple months ago I said yes to the love of my life," she enthused. "We hate taking pictures so thank you to our beautiful friends for finally making us! Thank you @indigolabyogi for being such an amazing photog. And thank you @srestagn for asking me to be your partner in life. I could not be happier to tether myself to you forever....(and yes, dressing the same that day was a true accident )"

Some of Khalil's castmates chimed in with their best wishes, including Michelle Stafford (Phyllis Stafford), Courtney Hope (Sally Spectra), Tracey E. Bregman (Lauren Fenmore), Bryton James (Devon Hamilton), Lauralee Bell (Christine Blair), and Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea Lawson).
In July of 2021, Khalil revealed that she had taken a break from Instagram, sharing that she was "overwhelmed with feeling like I always had to say something, post something, or 'use my platform' for specific reasons." The update came along with a photo of her and Restagno, a relationship that she called "an amazing highlight" in her life. "[He] is my everything and brings so much joy to my heart."
Khalil's engagement is just part of the actress' new chapter in life. As Soap Central previously reported, she bought a $2.15 million Mediterranean manor on the coastline of Malibu in March.
Khalil took on the role of Y&R's Lily in 2002. The actress exited briefly in 2006 and later chose to take a step back from the show in the summer of 2018 and subsequently dropped to recurring status. She made sporadic appearances after that point but decided in 2020 to come back in a more involved capacity.
