The Young and the Restless' Thad Luckinbill producing sequel to P.S. I Love You

Postscript, the newly released sequel to Cecelia Ahern's novel P.S. I Love You, is being made into a film by Thad Luckinbill (ex-J.T. Hellstrom, The Young and the Restless) starring Hilary Swank.

Loads of people are still crying over the super-emotional 2007 Hilary Swank film P.S. I Love You, and it looks like more Kleenex runs are needed. The author who wrote the book the film is based on just released another called Postscript, and The Young and the Restless' Thad Luckinbill (ex-J.T. Hellstrom) has taken on the exciting job of bringing it to life as a sequel film.

As fans may recall, P.S. I Love You starred Swank as Holly, a woman whose life is transformed when she discovers ten letters her dead husband Gerry has left behind to help her overcome her sorrow and transition to a new life.

Swank will reportedly be returning to the role of Holly in the upcoming Postscript sequel, which Deadline reports will pick up on the character's story seven years after her husband's death, when Holly's sister asks her to tell the story of the PS, I Love You letters on her podcast. Holly does so reluctantly, not wanting to reopen old wounds. Soon after the episode airs, people start reaching out to Holly, and they all have one thing in common: they're terminally ill and want to leave their own missives behind for loved ones. Suddenly, Holly finds herself drawn back into a world she's worked tirelessly to leave behind -- but one that leads her on another incredible, life-affirming journey.

Luckinbill joins several other producers of the project, including Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson of Alcon, Trent and Molly Smith of Black Label, and The Blind Side production company.

As soap fans may know, Luckinbill has major producing titles to his name, La La Land and the upcoming Korean War drama Devotion among them. He played the role of Y&R's J.T. Hellstrom from 1999 to 2010, from 2017 to 2018, and again in 2019.
