Y&R casting handsome, confident character -- could it be...?

The latest casting call from The Young and the Restless has a lot of fans believing Adam Newman is making a return to the CBS soap opera. But could the confident character actually be someone else from the soap's past?

Could The Young and the Restless be looking to bring back the popular character of Adam Newman? A recent casting call from the CBS soap opera sure does sound a lot like Victor's troublemaking son, which has millions of fans doing cartwheels.

According to a casting call, the show's casting office is looking for actors in their early 30's to early 40's to audition for the role of Jeremy, who is described as a "stunningly handsome" and "supremely confident" man who has "obsessive ambition" and is "willing to do whatever it takes to get what he wants."

Now, if that doesn't sound like a mini-Victor Newman, what would?! That being said, Jeremy could easily be a brand-new character or another of Genoa City's past residents. The only thing that's for sure is that the position is a contract role and is only open to actors who have "significant experience in film or television."

If Jeremy is indeed supposed to be Adam, the lucky actor to land the role will be the character's fourth adult portrayer. Previous actors who have played Adam Newman include Chris Engen, Michael Muhney, and Justin Hartley.

Do you think the description of "Jeremy" sounds like Adam? Do you think it sounds more like someone else from the soap's past? Or do you think the writers are bringing in a new character? Let us know in the comments section below!
