Y&R alum Max Ehrich to appear in new Lifetime drama series

The Young and the Restless alum Max Ehrich has nabbed a recurring role in American Princess, a brand-new Lifetime drama series.

American Princess, a straight-to-series drama from Lifetime, will feature a couple of actors with soap opera ties. Georgia Flood headlines the series as Amanda, a socialite from New York's Upper East Side who runs away on her wedding day when she realizes that the life she thought she wanted isn't really the life she wants.

Max Ehrich, who appeared as Fenmore Baldwin on The Young and the Restless, will play the role of Brett, Amanda's Manhattan lawyer groom and a bit of an Upper East Side prince. In addition to his role on Y&R, Ehrich garnered attention for his primetime work on the CBS series Under the Dome.

Lesley Ann Warren, who had a brief stint on The Doctors, tackles the role of Joanntha -- Amanda's snobby mother from hell. According to Deadline, Joanntha has "a narcissistic personality disorder, a massive pill problem, and never fails to drunkenly bulldoze every social event she attends." Warren has appeared in countless film and television projects. She received a Supporting Actress Oscar nomination for her role as Norma Cassady in 1982's Victor/Victoria.

Production on the ten-episode series is scheduled to begin this summer in Los Angeles. There's currently no anticipated air date for the series.
