Get ready to go postal. The Young and the Restless has cast Seinfeld alum Wayne Knight in a musical role set to rock Genoa City.
Genoa City is about to get another Newman. Well, kinda. Actor Wayne Knight, known for his role as Seinfeld's postal service worker, Newman, is heading to The Young and the Restless.
The CBS soap has cast the Georgia native in the role of Irv West, a music promoter who will pop into Genoa City on Wednesday, September 20, and Thursday, September 21.
Yahoo! reports that Knight's Irv shows up on the soap to check out the local music scene, where he meets up with Y&R music makers Cait Fairbanks (Tessa Porter), Noah Newman (Robert Adamson), and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James). But that's not all he'll be up to during his two-day stint. The publication teases Knight will also cross paths with Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes), Sharon Case (Sharon McAvoy), and Daniel Hall (Scott Grainger).
