NBC buys Eva Longoria's comedy Big Of Me

The Young and the Restless' Eva Longoria (ex-Isabella Braa) may have been knocked down a peg by Lifetime's unexpected cancellation of Devious Maids, but now comes word that NBC has decided to purchase her comedy series Big Of Me.

The Young and the Restless alum Eva Longoria (ex-Isabella Braa) is making headlines once again. Hot on the heels of the actress launching a clothing line and signing a deal with Universal Pictures comes news that NBC has purchased her comedy series Big Of Me.

Longoria and Will Packer will produce the half-hour show from Awkward creator Lauren Iungerich that centers on two women from completely different walks of life who become unlikely best friends after their mutual husband dies.

Not all is a win for the Y&R alum, however. Lifetime shocked the entertainment world when it announced last week that it has decided to cancel Longoria's soapy series Devious Maids.

"Devious fans, thank you for your support the past 4 seasons!" the actress wrote on Twitter following the cancellation news. "I'm proud of this show and our amazing cast & crew. #MondayNightsWontBeTheSame"
