Y&R casting two new roles

Genoa City will soon need to update its census report, because The Young and the Restless is reportedly casting two new characters.

The Young and the Restless viewers can start looking forward to two new faces because the CBS soap is reportedly searching for actors to play two new roles.

The first casting call is for a character named Travis, described as "hunky but in a very working man kind of way. He likes women, but avoids attachment, conflict, drama and emotion."

The other is for a doctor named Meredith, who "emotionally hides behind a veneer of professionalism. She works in the infirmary of a prison -- tending to prisoners, sympathetic to their causes."

There's no word yet on whether the roles are contract or recurring, but we'll keep you updated as more details emerge.

What do you think about the characters Y&R is hoping to bring to the canvas? Any ideas how they could be connected to current storylines?
