Emmy-nominated Kelly Sullivan has landed a recurring role on The Young and the Restless. Sullivan previously appeared as Connie Falconeri on General Hospital.
The casting war between The Young and the Restless and General Hospital -- whether real or perceived -- continues. Y&R has announced that it has hired Emmy-nominated former GH star Kelly Sullivan for a newly created role.
Sullivan will play Sage Warner. In an interview with Soap Opera Digest, Sullivan described her new character as an "intelligent, competent, discreet, and reserved" woman who will "do anything for those she loves."
Sullivan made her daytime debut on General Hospital in 2011, taking over the role of Kate Howard/Connie Falconeri. Sullivan made her final GH appearance in February. Several months later, Sullivan earned her very first Daytime Emmy nomination in the Outstanding Supporting Actress field.

For now, Sullivan will appear on a recurring basis.
Sullivan's hiring is the latest casting tit-for-tat between CBS's The Young and the Restless and ABC's General Hospital. GH recently announced it had signed former Y&R star and multiple Emmy winner Billy Miller (ex-Billy Abbott) as its new Jason.
Sullivan will begin taping her Y&R scenes later this month. She'll first appear on-screen on October 28.
