Y&R casting never-before-seen Abbott

The Young and the Restless has issued a casting call for the newly created role of Andrew Abbott.

The Abbotts will soon be getting a new branch on their family tree. The Young and the Restless has put out a casting call for a never-before-seen Abbott cousin by the name of Andrew.

Y&R is actively seeking a "strong leading man" for the role. He will be in his mid- to late-30s. Andrew is also described as "handsome and educated" and "very driven, and ambitious."

Andrew Abbott is a contract role, but the show has given no timeframe for when the character will pop up on screen. However, we suspect Andrew will show up just in time for November Sweeps.

This is the second prominent casting call released by Y&R in the past month. In August, the show announced it was seeking an actress to play the role of Ally.
