The Young and the Restless alum Julia Pace Mitchell has landed a new role -- mom. The actress is the proud parent of a baby boy.

Julia Pace Mitchell (Sofia Dupre Winters) may have been young and restless, but for a little while, she will probably be sleepless. The former The Young and the Restless star and her husband, Stephen L. Hightower, are the proud parents of a new son.

"Let me say, childbirth is a lot easier on TV," the actress said, perhaps only slightly in jest. "Being a mom is the greatest role I will ever play."

The couple announced the pregnancy in January, with Pace Mitchell telling People, "I feel so blessed and hopeful about becoming a mommy for the first time."
