Maria Arena Bell is speaking out about her dismissal from The Young and the Restless. Bell, who was relieved of her duties as executive producer and head writer, indicated that she has no idea why she was let go, and accused her bosses of not telling her directly that she'd been fired.
The production credits of The Young and the Restless may still list Maria Arena Bell's name, but the ousted executive producer/head writer wants fans to know that she had no part in the stories that are playing out on-screen."[T]o any Y and R viewers who read my Facebook page... I had NOTHING to do with the way they are resolving these stories. Despite my name still being on the show -- which it should not be," Bell wrote on her Facebook page. "I did not intend to have Phyllis trial end with charges being droppedor any of these other story lines now playing. I am no longer a part of this show in ANY way, folks. It's all the new guys."
