Sean Young (Meggie McClain) is checking into rehab -- Celebrity Rehab. The movie star-turned-recurring Y&R player will appear in the upcoming season of a reality show designed to help stars kick their addictions.

Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Young will appear in the fifth season of the VH1 reality series Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew. The show, helmed by Dr. Drew Pinsky, an internist with board certification in addiction medicine, sets out to help celebrities who are battling various forms of addiction, which are not necessarily related to substance abuse.

"VH1 is not commenting on the nature of Young's addiction," the network told Entertainment Weekly in a statement.

Young has, however, had a history of alcoholism. In 2008, she voluntarily admitted herself into a rehabilitation center for treatment related to alcohol abuse.

This will not be Young's first foray into reality television. At the close of 2010, Young was one of six celebrities who competed in the inaugural edition of ABC's Skating With the Stars. She was the first star to be voted off.

Young joins Steven Adler, Amy Fisher, Jeremy Jackson, Bai Ling, Michael Lohan, and Michaele Salahi in the fifth cycle of the series. Previous cast members, as they are called, on Celebrity Rehab have included supermodel Janice Dickinson, NBA superstar Dennis Rodman, Rodney King, and Hollywood madam Heidi Fleiss.

VH1 has not yet announced when Young's season of Celebrity Rehab will debut.
