On Beyond the Gates, our newest and most exciting sudser, we have reached the part where storylines are gaining momentum, and the fans feel like it's lift-off time at last!
Lets Get Ready to Rumble: Beyond the Gates Shifts Gears

The first month is in the books for Beyond the Gates, and we are done with all the many and varied introductory moments between characters and all the times characters have had conversations where they point out how great someone is at something. So we are all experts on who is who and who knows who and who has done the dirty on who, and it's time to throw it in gear and hit the gas. All gas no brakes!
We have been patiently waiting, well, some of us have, for the time Beyond the Gates would take the handbrake off and let it all out. We have some exciting and intriguing storylines that will get the due attention they deserve. Look for a sexual harassment lawsuit against Bill’s (Timon Kyle Durett) partner, Mike, at his law firm, to put Naomi (Arielle Prepetit) front and center and at odds with her father. That is the kind of make-or-break case that could very well define the young Naomi and her future as a lawyer.
Martin (Brandon Claybon) has lofty ambitions of one day being the 2nd black President of the United States of America. Bill has some very damaging dirt on poor Martin. Bill subtly used the word “Overkill” to imply that he could ruin Martin, and it all goes back to a night when something happened that caused Martin to have recurring nightmares. Both Anita and Vernon want to squash thoughts of a presidential race; his past is too explosive and would destroy him and his family once under such scrutiny. The children and Mike, his partner, would all be collateral damage from the fallout. It would be unavoidable.
Then there is Leslie (Trisha Mann Grant), Nicole (Daphnee Duplaix) and Ted Richardson (For now Maurice Johnson). Leslie wants to destroy Ted and Nicole's perfect life so bad; it's her every reason for waking up in the morning and with the seed planted by Eva (Ambyr Michelle) that an anniversary party was the way to go it looks set to give Leslie the stage to finally blow up Ted and Nicole, figuratively, not literally. However, this woman is crazy enough that anything is possible now.
These are just my three big storylines, and I am excited to see them gain momentum. What are you most looking forward to? The weekend? Just getting through today? Or your next trek, Beyond the Gates.
