Welcome to the Beyond the Gates Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:
What Happened on Beyond the Gates
Today on Beyond the Gates, Hayley confronted Naomi about her representing three women in a sexual harassment lawsuit and suing her dad Bill's law firm. Now, not to take anything away from sexual harassment, but this is a soap, lest we forget. Hayley tells her that this frivolous case will be crushed, and then her company will be sued for attorney fees, among other things, and that will bankrupt and destroy her. Still, Naomi wants to play with the big boys and go up against her dad, not because these women need fair representation and to get their day in court, Hayley and everyone else for that matter know it’s about trying to get revenge on Bill and Hayley for her mummy being upset and becoming a raging alcoholic, or, more of one. Hayley did her best to persuade Naomi to give it up, that her friendship was real, and that she couldn't help falling in love with Bill. Does Naomi seriously believe that the marriage of Bill and Dani was glorious until out of the blue, poof! Hayley appeared. Nope, because there is Dupree blood in there, and a Dupree woman will not be told no and will not, will not be held accountable. And all those other jive turkeys better recognize. Naomi told Hayley they would prevail, but there was something in her eyes and expression that may have been a little doubt now. Indeed, she’s seen and heard how her father has made stronger cases disappear. Undeterred, Naomi wants to meet her father in the sewer with Hayley, as she so eloquently put it. Beyond the Gates, delivered again today!
