The Daily Y.A.P.P For Beyond the Gates, April 24th: Vanessa, the escort and the gangster 

Welcome to the Beyond the Gates Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What Happened on Beyond the Gates

Soap fans, Beyond the Gates just doesn't cease to amaze. Just when things look like they cannot get any more bizarre, Boom, another “What the heck.” Did everyone else say that, when we saw Vanessa call up an escort agency immediately after her and Doug had just done the horizontal mambo? If not then, what about when Vanessa was waiting for said escort in the most inconspicuous of places, the highly popular Uptown. This being the very place that EVERYONE goes to, ALL THE TIME. And none other than Joey Armstrong pops in and asks why Vanessa is waiting for an escort when there are plenty of men who would jump at the chance? How on Earth would Joey of all people, know that Vanessa was expecting an escort? Well, allow me, Joey just happens to own the very same escort agency that Vanessa has on speed dial. Wow. Joey explains that he had cancelled the escort and offered to be his stand in. What a stand up guy LOL. Not only could Vanessa have been seen by literally anyone of the characters on Beyond the Gates but how would she explain any of these things? Doug could have returned, even though that was unlikely, with him being back at the tables at the casino. But heck Vanessa, is getting caught part of the thrill too? Doug and Vanessa play a dangerous game, but if anything, I'm lovin the pace this moves at. No time to catch your breath before the next “What the heck!”
