The Daily Y.A.P.P For Beyond the Gates, April 16th 

Welcome to the Beyond the Gates Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What Happened on Beyond the Gates

Are you Tide of hearing commercials while you watch your favorite sudser? It’s no glitch in the matrix, it happened today and yesterday. Things were certainly fresh for Kat’s party, was that down to Nicole's attention to detail or was it because of the gratuitous use of Febreeze? Today Jacob and Naomi were feeding each other dessert in bed, romantic and sweet but it can get messy right? Well these two aren't worried about that, because Tide can get that out, Tide can fix everything. Jacob even said Tide has his back, that's great news for when he inevitably goes up against shady casino boss Joey Armstrong. Miraculously, as if it were placed there by the production team, Jacob and Naomi are laying in bed and the camera pans down and what's that? et voila Tide. I'm not kidding. There was a great big laundry container of Tide at the bottom of the bed. Then the commercial break hits, and there's the dulcet tones of Anita Dupree telling us that this portion of the programming is sponsored by Tide. Really? I couldn't tell. Ive always thought such blatant product placement is a bit cringe, but to have the characters endorsing the product so blatantly. Yuck.

Oh yeah, Bill’s firing of Mike went over like a lead balloon. Mike got nasty and besmirched the good name of Bill’s wife Hayley. Bill warned Mike but the mouth wouldn't stop. Billgrabbed Mike around the lapels and shoved him back against the wall, the fear in Mike's eyes looked real but Mike was not finished…he rage exited stage left.
