New Beyond the Gates promo offers new insight into fascinating characters

With Beyond the Gates set for its long-awaited premiere on February 24, 2025, fans are anxious to know more about the residents of Fairmont Crest and beyond. Thankfully, the soap has delivered with a brand-new promo featuring the Duprees and the extended family that surrounds them.

The Duprees headline Beyond the Gates

Until now, we have mainly heard about the Dupree clan, Beyond the Gates' core family. In the new primo, Tamara Tunie's Anita Dupree is known as "The Matriarch" while her husband, Vernon Dupree (Clifton Davis) is "The Warrior." Their daughters, Dani Dupree (Karla Mosley) and Nicole Dupree (Daphnée Duplaix), are called "The Woman Scorned" and "The Perfecionist," respectively.

However, no soap would be complete without a rich ensemble cast of colorful characters to root for, cheer for, and of course, love to hate.

Beyond the Duprees

In the new promo shared by on Beyond the Gates' social media accounts, we also meet Dani's philandering ex-husband Bill Hamilton (Timon Durrett) known as "The Two Timer" and the woman he two-timed with, Hayley Lawson (Marquita Goings), known as "The Homewrecker."

Dani and Bill's daughter, "The Influencer," aka Chelsea Hamilton (Rhonni Rose Mantilla), is ready to take the world by storm as a young model while Naomi Hamilton Hawthorne (Arielle Prepetit) has earned the title of "The Advocate" for her work as an attorney.

Andre Hamilton (Sean Freeman), aka "The Playboy" is the nephew of Nicole and her husband, Ted Richardson (Maurice Johnson). You also meet "The Caregiver," Dr. Ashley Morgan (Jen Jacob), as well as "The Statesman," Martin Richardson (Brandon Claybon), a young congressman. In the video, you see Martin talking with his husband, Bradley Smith (Mike Manning).

A new era for soaps?

Soap fans have been looking at Beyond the Gates as a new era for the soap genre, which has taken a hit in the 21st century with the cancelation of such classic soaps as All My Children, One Life to Live, As the World Turns, and Guiding Light.

It is the first soap to premiere since Passions made its daytime mark in 1999. Produced by CBS in conjuntion with P&G Productions and the NAACP, Beyond the Gates is the brainchild of longtime soap scribe Michele Val Jean, who will serve as executive producer and head writer. She shares head writing duties with former General Hospital scribe Robert Guza.
